10-14-05 Blake Bites the Big One!

I agree with everything that you said. I think the age mix could have worked this time, but as you said there are too many flabby males (who are not super strategists) and not enough really hot females.

Also, starting with males verses females doesn't give the really athletic males a chance to prove their value. I'm curious as to how many people have responded to your remarks and how many of these basically agree with you.

I'm hoping that this season doesn't turn off a large number of regular viewers; however, even I, as an avid survivor fan, am starting to find Survivor Vanuatu boring. I was able to weather people (like Vecepia and Sandra) winning whom I found totally undeserving of winning, but I'm not completely sure that I can weather this.

Thanks for the comments. Nice to hear some intelligent feedback instead of" Sarge rules!". So far no other notable feedback.

I guess what WE may be feeling may NOT actually impair the show's ratings, or at least not much... because what Survivor does well is tug us in different directions and gets us emotionally charged up. Like when we get mad at an idiot like Rory. We may yell at him, but is he keeping us interested??? Open to debate...

MAYBE that keeps us watching??? You know what they say - or at least I have said it - people love to watch people they hate - the old "love to hate" syndrome.

I just think it's a shame that the strongest have little chance of surviving. If I ran the show I'd change the rules or cast better.

In any event I'll keep watching but I do hope some people at Survivor Corp offices are listening because it could be better with a few simple tweaks.

Tugging at emotions may be part of what Survivor has to offer viewers, but I
do think that there a number of people like me who need to feel that someone
with good survival skills has somewhat reasonable odds of winning.

I guess that there must be people out there who identify with Sarge or you
wouldn't be getting remarks like Sarge rules.
